Mr Mohamed Mohyudin is a Substantive Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust (CHFT), and in private practice at Spire Elland Hospital, Halifax, and as a Partner at Newmedica Bradford & Huddersfield.

He trained at the University of Leeds Medical School and underwent specialist ophthalmic training across several prestigious hospitals in the UK. Following his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), he completed two highly competitive subspecialty fellowships — one in oculoplastic and orbital surgery, and one in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus — making him double fellowship trained across both disciplines.

Humanitarian work

Mr Mohyudin advises World Aid Network and performs humanitarian cataract surgery in Karachi and Islamabad, Pakistan, as part of the charity’s sight-restoring eye-surgery programme. The Pakistan programme funds complete cataract operations at partner hospitals for patients who cannot otherwise afford care.
